Last week, we shared another turkey recipe that uses your leftovers from the holiday. While I did give you some tips on how to make it more allergen-friendly, it did require buying special types of flour and swapping out ingredients.
This Thanksgiving dog treat recipe, though, is far more hypoallergenic without making a ton of swaps. The only exception is if your dog happens to be allergic to eggs. Since they do act as a binding agent, they are pretty important to the recipe. However, if your pooch does have an egg allergy, read on after the recipe for some alternatives that you can use. Tasty Turkey Feast Homemade Thanksgiving Dog Treat Recipe

- 2 lbs. ground turkey
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 8 oz. peas
- 3 carrots, diced
- 1 apple, diced
How to Make:
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine all of the ingredients together in one large mixing bowl. You may need to use your hands to really get in there and mix it well.
- Scoop out a bit of the mixture and shape into a log. Repeat until you use all of the mix.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Let cool before serving. Store remainder in an airtight container

Tips & Notes for this Easy Hypoallergenic Thanksgiving Dog Treat Recipe
First, a word on the three eggs. I know it seems like a lot (more than we usually use in a recipe), but this particular treat needs them to really bind it together. Also, you can try to make cute little shapes with a cookie cutter
As promised, a few alternative binding agents for dogs with egg allergies include agar agar, nut and seed butters (do not use peanut butter that is sweetened with Xylitol), and pumpkin puree. I think the pumpkin would probably work best with this recipe. You’ll need to experiment a bit though. Add a little, then work with the mix and see how it holds up, then add a little more.
