West Highland White Terrier: You may have read other places that this breed is not good to have around children as they can be territorial.  The good news is that if you are choosing a puppy to introduce to your family, the Westie will do just fine around kids when raised with them.

Labradoodle: A fun crossbreed between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle, this breed makes a wonderful family dog.  He maintains the companionship that the Lab is known for and the shed-free coat of a poodle.  These hypoallergenic dogs are so great with kids, you will find a great family member in choosing a Labradoodle.
