Fresh Breath Dog Treat Recipe
My dog Maia is a kisser. Like a super-psycho kisser. If you don’t stand still and let her slather your face with her doggy tongue, she’ll stalk you and try to hold you down until you give in.
Here’s the problem: she does the same thing to the cat’s behind. Alex the Fuzz seems to think that Maia is his mom, so he lets her bathe him…top to bottom. Emphasis on the bottom!
Now, I’m not squeamish about doggy kisses.
When you’ve lived with dogs as long as I have, you find that very little phases you. Stinky dog breath kisses, though, are in their own category.
If I can do something about it, you betcha I’m going to try!
This homemade fresh breath dog treats recipe is an easy way to sweeten those kisses!
It’s a great compliment (or alternative, depending on your dog’s food allergies) to our other breath biscuits recipe!
Let’s check it out! (Don’t forget to print the recipe below)

Hi there! I'm Nicole, the editor-in-chief and one of the writers here at DogVills. I've been a dog owner for most of my adult life and a dog lover for much longer than that. I grew up with a wonderful German Shepherd named Jake, who I loved SO much that I named my son after him. When I'm not writing for DogVills or my own site, Pretty Opinionated, I love spending time with my teenager (when he actually lets me) and my Pharaoh Hound, Freya. I'm also an avid reader AND a total TV fanatic.
