We all love our dogs and most of us would move the Earth to find our dog if they were missing, right? Well, would you postpone your upcoming wedding until you found them? That is exactly what this couple from Los Gatos, California have done. Trendee King and her fiancé James Galley were set to be married this coming August 26th. However, that was until their precious 1-year-old Brussels Griffon dog, Theo, went missing. Theo, who is black and tan in color, weighs about 12 pounds and has the cutest Snaggle Tooth.

Top Dog News Story: Couple Delays Wedding to Find Missing Dog

Here is how it all happened: King, a Hollywood makeup artist, was in Los Angles on February 13, 2017, shopping for a wedding dress with family and friends. She found the perfect dress, but her excitement soon changed to panic, when her fiancé, an executive for a Silicon Valley media company, called to tell her their dog, Theo, was missing.

Earlier that day, Theo underwent a minor surgical procedure to have an abscess removed from his back. Since he was on antibiotics, the couple wanted to ensure he was given his medication, so they hired a reliable dog sitter to watch him. Galley was at work at the time. While at the sitter’s house, Theo, who is microchipped, bolted into the street when the sitter answered her front door for a delivery. The sitter attempted to chase Theo, but he was too fast and she soon lost sight of him.

King immediately rushed home after the call from Galley and the couple searched most of the night for their beloved Theo, with no luck.  The story soon gained national attention after King and Galley posted thousands of flyers and posters throughout the San Francisco Bay area. In an interview with Mercury News, King said, “We’ve been to Milpitas, Palo Alto, Santa Cruz, Saratoga, Campbell. We’ve been everywhere. We’ve been to every shelter, every vet, every PetSmart. There’s just no way I’m going to plan a wedding right now. It’s impossible, it’s a full-time job (searching for Theo). We go for 12 hours, 14 hours some days.”

In addition to posting all the flyers and posters, the couple has offered a $3,500 reward for Theo’s safe return, have used several bloodhounds to try and pick up Theo’s scent and have even hired a private investigator, Jamie Katz, who specializes in searching for missing pets. They have received thousands of phone calls, unfortunately, they have all led to dead ends.

Theo is so loved and cared for by King and Galley, that he even has his own Instagram page, started by the couple not long after bringing him home for the first time. King started a social media campaign on her Facebook page to get the word out about Theo being missing. She started within hours of his disappearance and had posted updates on the page ever since.

The couple still plans on going forward with their wedding, but just not on August 26 and not until Theo is accounted for.
