Border Collies come in several different coat colorings, but black and white is the most popular and common. So, if you want to go with a name inspired by that, you can’t go wrong with Oreo. It’s a great gender-neutral name, so you could use it for a male or female pup! If you want something a bit more original or just don’t really want to go with a food name, Bessie is a funny yet cute idea, since it’s also the name of a famous cow. 😀

Of course, you don’t have to choose something inspired by your dog’s colors. I think Xia or Zara are both really adorable and somewhat unique names. It’s unlikely that any other dogs at the dog park will have them, which always helps when it’s time to go home. Seriously, just try calling out “Oreo” and see how many dogs come running compared to when you call out Zara or Pawtrina.

Now that we’ve covered the girls, let’s check out some cute ideas for your sweet little boy dog!
