- Royal Canin Selected Protein Adult: Royal Canin has some great prescription choices out there. These are for the dog that just doesn’t respond to over-the-counter options. As well as being limited ingredient, these foods are processed in a way that makes the protein and carb sources easier for your dog to digest. They offer varieties such as Potato & Venison and Potato & Duck.
- Hill’s Z/D Ultra: This hypoallergenic dry dog food takes a different approach to addressing food sensitivities and allergies in dogs. Researchers at Hill’s discovered that many dogs with sensitivities aren’t allergic to their food so much as their bodies can’t break it down properly which results in an extreme sensitivity reaction. Hill’s Z/D Ultra hypoallergenic dry dog food is processed in such a way that standard protein and carb sources are extremely easy on the digestive tract which limits reactions as well as GI upset.
As you can see, there are a plethora of choices when it comes to hypoallergenic dry dog food.
