After all, we know how much our dogs love that meaty goodness! The great thing about this particular recipe is that you can make it all in one bowl, so it’s not really all that messy. Yes, you need to cook the bacon first, but if you’re already making some for your family, just put a bit extra on the skillet!
For our canine pals with allergies, this particular recipe isn’t hypoallergenic because of the dairy, flour, wheat and corn. Homemade Bacon Bits Dog Treat Recipe
If you’re looking for a delicious and easy treat to spoil your furry friend, this is it! Our homemade bacon bits dog treats are made with simple ingredients and packed with flavor that your pooch will LOVE!
Ingredients:
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled up
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/8 cup of bacon fat
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk powder
- 2 cup flour, your choice (we used graham flour this time)
- 2 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
How to Make:

- Preheat the oven to 350 and grease a baking sheet.
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl with a heavy-duty mixing spoon.
- Drop the dough in heaping tablespoonfuls onto your cookie sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then turn off your oven and let the cookies dry overnight on the baking sheet inside.
