If you want to go with something that literally means love in another language, I really like Jedi. It doubles as a great Star Wars dog name!

Love the idea of naming your dog after a god of love? Cupid is always a cute choice, although Anteros is a bit more unique.

Then again, you could name your pooch after one of the greatest lovers of all time! While Romeo is the obvious choice, I really prefer Tristan. If you get a girl dog, you can name her Isolde!

Again, if you want to go the literal route, Suka is a super cute choice. I really like Esme, too. It works well if you’re a fan of the Twilight book series, too.

As far as love goddesses go, Aphrodite may be the most famous but I’m partial to Freya!

For those who prefer literary over literal, while Isolde is perfect if you have a Tristan, I really love Mina. After all, she was pretty much the only woman that could melt Dracula’s stone-cold heart!
