Also, if you have a dog with health problems like arthritis, choose a bed that provides support, like memory foam beds do.
2. Design
Although the size and comfort are the most important things, if you plan to put your dog’s bed indoors design also matters. It is not easy to find an extra large dog bed that will fit with your interior, which makes the design that much more valuable.

- It also has polyfill bolster that adds to the comfort and support.
- This bolster also makes the bed very stylish. I like the looks of it, although I am a bit disappointed that it comes in just two colors.
The extra large bed has dimensions of 44 x 34 x 10 inches but there are two more sizes to choose from, small and large. The sofa also has a non-slip bottom and removable cover provides resistance to hair, fur and tears.

is unfortunately not very durable and I wouldn’t recommend choosing this bed if you have a dog that likes to chew on things.
- The bed comes with a zippered, removable and machine-washable cover. However, the zipper is not that strong as well.
- One thing that particularly bothers me about this bed is the slippery bottom it has.
I like the style of this bed, for that price it is a really good choice which can fit into your interior seamlessly. This is especially true when you consider the fact that you have 7 different colors to choose from.

- Unfortunately, this dog bed only comes in one size, 40″ x 23″ x 15″ and can hold dogs up to 88 lbs.
- This might not be enough for some of the largest breeds out there, but it is still an extra large bed by any standards.
- However, this bed only comes in one color as well.
I really like the fact that this sofa is elevated and keeps your pooch off the ground and dirt but also not high at all, which is great for older dogs since they can easily get on the bed. However, this bed requires some assembly, so keep that in mind.

is filled with shredded memory foam to provide comfort for your pooch. The foam is packed very densely to make it as firm as possible. Despite its size, the bed is very portable and keeps its shape.
You can get this bed in four different sizes and colors. The appearance of the bed is not bad at all, although I wouldn’t classify it as stylish either. The liner of the bed is waterproof.

- It is made out of ultra-plush and orthopedic material.
- The material is also eco-friendly and recycled, although I am not really sure exactly what that material is.
This bed has a removable cover which is machine washable; at least that is what the manufacturer says. The truth is that the cover is not machine washable. It is also a very affordable option but it has a zipper that is not very durable.
Bottom line, it’s great if you just need something very, very basic for your dog’s crate, or maybe to take with you when you travel.

- This bed also comes with a waterproof, machine-washable cover with a non-slip rubber grips on the bottom.
Even though this bed is good, you should take the claims about the machine-washable cover with a grain of salt. My experience showed that it is better not to put this cover in the machine since it can leave a lot of small fabric lumps. The cover may also shrink after washing and zipper is not that reliable either.
