So, how many of you have ever seen a dog do a handstand before? Probably not many of you, right? Well, let me tell you about Jiff, who is not your ordinary dog. Jiff is a cute little Pomeranian dog, who is also a model and actor. He was born in Illinois in 2010, though his owner wishes to remain anonymous. In 2013, Jiff and his family moved to Los Angeles, California, so Jiff could pursue his career as an actor. He is most popular for his appearance in Katy Perry’s 2014 music video for her song Dark Horse.

Who is Jiff the Pomeranian?
Jiff has his own agent, Natalie Novak, from United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills, California. So, what talents does Jiff have, you ask? Well, he can walk on his hind legs, walk on his front legs, walk backward, sign his own autograph and ride a skateboard.

So, why exactly is Jiff making headlines for these days? His handstand, of course. Canadian Olympic artistic gymnast, Christine “Peng Peng” Lee, who attends UCLA in California, posted a video of her and Jiff. The video, showing her and Jiff walking into a large room doing handstands, has received 41,273 views in just a few short days. On April 7, 2017, she posted a short video on her Instagram account, with the caption- “Handstand walking into the weekend with a famous furry friend @jiffpom.”

Jiff was titled the Fastest Dog on Two Paws by the Guinness World Records in 2014. He broke 2 records: The Fastest 10-Meter Run on Hind Legs, which he completed in 6.56 seconds and The Fastest 5-Meter Run on Front Legs, which he completed in 7.76 seconds.
He is an award-winning dog too. He won the Most Popular Dog Award at the 2015 World Dog Awards and the Best Animal in Social Media Award at the 2016 Shorty Awards. Oh, and did I mention, Jiff has his own personal holiday? In 2014, the Los Angeles City Council declared that August 20th was known as Jiff the Pomeranian Day.
